Persuasive Writing

I was learning to write a persuasive piece of writing. I can think of lots of reasons why Ice-Cream is better than chocolate. It was easy to persuade the reader to think that Ice-Cream is better than chocolate because Ice-Cream is very yummy!

Youthtown

I like Youthtown because we play fun games. In Youthtown I learnt how to play games. My favourite activity is obstacle courses.

Telling Time

I was learning to understand 24 hour time and write the time in numbers and words. I can read the time on the clock and write it in digital time then in words. It was easy because I had already learnt to tell the time.

Antonyms And Synonyms

I was learning to recognise a range of language features. I can identify different language features and I understand the meaning of different language features. It was tricky to find antonyms and synonyms because we were unsure of the meanings of some words.

Acrostic Poem

I was learning to write an acrostic poem. I can write an acrostic poem about Halloween. It was easy to write an acrostic poem because there is a lot of things to write about the topic; Halloween.

I was learning to write a narrative.

I can describe the character and setting.

 It was easy because the picture prompts helped me to write my story.

Making Connections

I was learning to make connections. I can use personal experiences to connect ideas in the text. It was easy because I was able to identify with what happened in the story.

Word Mania

I was learning to make words using different letters. I can make lots of words using the letter provided. It was easy because there was lots of letters to choose from.

Halve It!

I was learning to find out what half of the number was. I can divide numbers by two. It was easy because we were only splitting the numbers into two groups.

Punctuation Marks

I was learning about punctuation marks. I know when to use punctuation mark. I think that I need more practice using punctuation marks because I found this task a bit hard.

Inferences

I was learning to make inferences. I can identify and describe what the author wanted me to feel,think about or see in the text. It was tricky because it was not easy to find the clues in the text.

Chinese Cultural Lessons

Contractions

I was learning how to make contractions. I can make two longer words into one shorter word. It was easy because the new word had parts of the two words in it.

Place Value

I was learning about place value and how many hundreds,tens and ones are in three digit numbers. I can identify how many hundreds, tens and ones were in 3 digit numbers. It was easy because the video we watched in class explained place value well.

Making Predictions

I was learning to make predictions. I can check to see if my predictions were right by using the text. It was easy to make predictions because the text gave me an idea.

Counting Forwards and Backwards in 10's

I was learning to skip count forwards and backwards in 10's. I know how to skip count forwards and backwards starting from any number. It was easy to skip count forwards and backwards in any number because I learnt it before.

Road Safety

1. Always wear your seatbelts. 2. Stop,look and listen before you cross the road.

Vowel Sounds

I was learning about the short and long vowel sounds. I can tell the difference between the long and short vowel sounds. It was easy to tell the difference between the vowel sounds because the video explained it well.

Skip Counting

I was learning how to skip count in 2,s and 5,s. I know how to skip count in 5,s. It was easy to skip count in 5,s up to one hundred because it,s a bigger number then 2.

Water Skills

Summarising information

I was learning to summarise information. I learnt how to summarise information. It was tricky to summarise information because I have never done it before.
